32,508 SF - Mixed-Use Development
Bridgeport Landing is a mixed-use condominium, retail and parking development at the east end of the Old Town Boardwalk in Florence, Oregon. It is surrounded by Port Authority property and is immediately adjacent to the public boat ramp. This highly valued and one-of-a-kind property dictated a density of development that was a challenge to the rigid limits of the river, the boardwalk and the three zoning districts it occupies. The Owner's concept was to capture the historic flavor of the waterfront while providing the finest contemporary amenities.
Twelve 2nd and 3rd floor condominiums surround an open indoor atrium that is flooded with light from skylights and a tall stained glass north-facing window that glows like a beacon in the evening. A common area fountain and indoor garden provide a warm sense of community and a cozy gathering place for residents during the grey winter months. Each unit has a large covered deck that makes the most of views of the river and Old Town by stepping the plan back and inward as it approaches the water's edge.
A private gated parking garage houses 13 cars and provides direct access to the first floor lobby with an inlaid stone compass rose and central elevator. Fronting the river, a three-sided porch with space for protected seating surrounds the 5,000 sf store featuring provisions for fishermen, boaters, waterfront visitors and residents alike.
